The history of this name, "Rocky Mountain Yeti", and how it was created.
We our Parkers and our history told thru generations is that we are direct descendants of the last Comanche Chief Quanah Parker. And the history of the name ("Rocky Mountain Yeti") begins.
The Year 1960 - I received a stuffed "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" and I slept with it for years until it fell apart. My parents also read the book to me.
The Year 1964 - We watched on television the Rudolph adaptation by the Rankin/Bass Productions version. And a prominent character was the abominable snowman (aka: Yeti).
In the 1960's & 1970's - Several times we read and watched about Yeti (aka: Sasquatch, Big Foot, Abominable Snowman...).
In the 1972 - At boy scout campfires there were jokes & scary stories about Yeti, sometimes we scared ourselves.
In the summer 1976 - This was our Rocky Mountain 3-week vacation. Joked & created "Rocky Mountain Yeti". Big foot, sasquatch and abominable snowman was a mouthful, but Yeti was easier to write and speak. We visited Rocky Mountain National Park and went to the top of Pikes Peak. Traveled to other places in Colorado, Wyoming, Montana and New Mexico. I became connected to this land and had frequent day dreams about running away from home to live in the Rocky Mountains.
The year 1987 - The movie "Harry and the Henderson’s" was about a Yeti (aka: Sasquatch, Big Foot, Abominable Snowman...).
In the summer 1988 - After graduating Purdue University, we moved to Golden, CO. It was my dream come true! We toured around the Rocky Mountains and many other sites in Colorado. Once again visited the top of Pikes Peak. We frequently visit Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park, even to this day.
In April 1, 2009 - I started creating domains &/or websites.
In August 2015 - I had a stroke which resulted in a condition called aphasia, that I still have now. The speech therapist had me read and write to help me with aphasia. So, I had to create stories. Also, my wife, son and daughter-in-law help me with communication.
Later in 2015 - I started creating and writing about Rocky Mountain Yeti. I was illustrating my book/eBook, "Rocky Mountain Yeti". And I was creating my art & brand, "Rocky Mountain Yeti".
The year 2016 - I started creating and writing for more titles for a series of five "Rocky Mountain Yeti" books/eBooks and a coloring book. But it is a very long process with my disability.
Late in 2016 - My wife, son and daughter-in-law agreed to edit my writing and drawings/illustrations.
In February 2017 - I created two domain names: RockyMountainYeti.com & RockyMtnYeti.com, and they were both available.
In April 29, 2017 - I purchased RockyMountainYeti.com and thought I would purchase RockyMtnYeti.com later.
Later in July 2017 - I went to purchase RockyMtnYeti.com, but it was gone.
In September 7, 2017 - My wife agreed to my coauthor and editor. Still struggling with aphasia, the side effect of the stroke.
2018 and the future - Hopefully my first eBook, "Rocky Mountain Yeti", will be published at the beginning of this year. Also, I am looking forward to utilizing and profiting "Rocky Mountain Yeti" for my brand, media and art.
